I’ll be posting the winners on Tuesday, so good luck everybody! As always, you can see the library has some fun new things for you to do. Until next time, read on! ~Kirstan DeVore
Summer Reading: One World Many Stories
This summer, like the previous ones, we had a summer reading program here at the Inman Public Library. Throughout the past 6 six weeks Dawn Froese, Cecelia Wheeler, and Donna Sallee hosted this fun exciting weekly activity where the kids could visit the library, listen to a story, have a snack, and learn about other countries (hence the name, “One World, Many Stories“). They also had tickets; which you could earn by coming every Thursday to the class, reading a hundred pages (or an hour), sharing a book report, or telling an original story! On August 1st there will be a drawing and the children who’s names are pulled will receive a gift card to Hastings. Read on! ~Kirstan DeVore

New Movies at the Library
The Library has received a large donation of DVD’s from a local patron. We now have in our collection a vast selection of civil war, western and war movies. We have almost a complete collection of John Wayne movies. We also received several Elvis movies. Stop in the library today and look them over. Check-out is for one week and FREE……….
April Book Sale
We are currently accepting used movies and books to be sold at our April book sale for a small donation, so anyone who has any books they don’t need or have been read before, or any movies they have seen before and want to share with the rest of the community, be sure to stop over and bring your used movies and books. After all, books and movies (and the wealth of knowledge and entertainment) that comes with them is a lot like love… for it to be experienced fully it has to be given away….. (ok… I know that comment went along with Valentine’s Day, but it is still February…) And on that same note, all proceeds made from the book sale go to purchase more books, so be assured that your donation is being used to provide people with more entertainment….. So come and enjoy the sale, no matter what your interest, you are bound to find something you will enjoy!!
Movie Review on ‘Fireproof’
This is the new website’s first ever movie review and I am going to be doing a unique critique on the movie ‘Fireproof’ Kirk Cameron stars in this uplifting, faith-affirming drama about a firefighter who goes to extreme measures to save people’s lives. But as his career is doing well, his marriage seems to be crumbling and headed for disaster. Caleb Holt, played by Cameron, is blind to his wife’s requests that he contribute more to their marriage then he has been doing. Apparently, dabbling in his own selfish desires is more important than protecting and caring for his wife’s heart. When a turning point in the movie arrives, Caleb’s father sends him a journal of tasks to accomplish to rescue his wife’s heart in the span of 40 days. What follows is a stark and powerful reminder that a house built on sand is doomed to be washed away, but a house (and a marriage) built on the solid foundation of Jesus Christ will be ‘Fireproof’.
